I asked the I Ching, “Will Obama be the next president?” This is the answer I received. (And my interpretation of that answer.)

The hexagram is DECAY.

The symbol is a bowl of rotting meat infested with maggots.

:: In other words, our country is a mess ::

The judgment is: WORK ON WHAT HAS BEEN SPOILED
Has supreme success.

::The mess must be fixed ::

The image is: The wind blows low on the mountain:
The image of DECAY.
Thus the superior man stirs up the people
And strengthens their spirit.

:: Obama inspires people, obviously ::

Nine in the second place means:
Setting right what has been spoiled by the mother.
One must not be too persevering.

:: The mess was not caused by him, yet he must fix it ::

Nine at the top means:
He does not serve kings and princes,
Sets himself higher goals.

:: What is higher than a king or prince? The people, for sure, represented by the President. ::

The other night, while doddering around the stage like Fred Sanford, McFlailin told us Americans that he would buy up all the bad mortgages. This is pretty much the same proposal that Obama has recommended previously, and, apparently it has really pissed off a lot of Republicans. (I am talking about the fiscal conservative Republicans, not the mouth-breathing bible-thumping Republicans.)

I feel kind of sorry for the fiscal conservative Republicans…though, not really. Afterall, it is they that continue to vote for a party that pays only lip service to the fiscal conservative platform. God, I hope they all vote Babar this time.
